Villa Renovation Handover: Preparing a Practical Inspection and Snagging List

Plan Handover at the Start
A villa renovation handover should be more than a hurried walk-through. The agreed quotation provides the basis for the inspection list. Owners unable to attend in Kalkan, Kaş or Fethiye should identify their representative in advance. Photographs support discussion but cannot replace every operating check. Allow time for the handover in the programme.
Finishes and Operation
Review painted, stone and timber surfaces under suitable light. Check doors, drawers and moving components within the agreed scope. Compare existing damage and the boundaries of new work against earlier records. Relevant specialists should check technical systems. A decorative photograph does not verify every aspect of their performance.
Record Outstanding Items Clearly
A snagging list should identify the location, required action and follow-up information. Photographs or precise locations help avoid repeated descriptions of the same item. Separate completed tasks from those awaiting review. Discuss access and target dates. Do not mix approved additional work with the original scope.
Care Information and the Final Review
Provide relevant maintenance information and applicable product documents according to the scope. Warranty terms should be written for the particular product or work. Review the final account against the quotation and approved variations. Discuss handover expectations with Aslan Construction from the beginning of a project along the Muğla–Antalya route. A clear list supports a more understandable start to using the finished villa.

The photographs illustrate work from our own project archive. Each property has different dimensions, conditions and priorities, so material and installation decisions need an individual review. Share photographs, a location and your requirements to begin a discussion.
