Reclaimed timber should not enter a renovation simply because it looks old. Review its history, condition and intended use together. Timber in the At\u00f6lye Aslan archive suggests different possibilities. Selection must follow the project and the material.<\/p>

Cleaning, preparation and repairs vary from piece to piece. Structural applications require suitable specialist assessment. Avoid definite age or species claims where provenance is uncertain.
